Unit5 Welcome to the unit   
教学目标:1. To know something about the important festivals both in China and in Western countries.
          2. Try to love Chinese traditional culture.
教学重难点:1. To talk about the important festivals.
            2. Something about the important festivals in western countries.
教学步骤:
Step1 Lead-in
         Ask: What’ the date today? What was the date the day before yesterday?
        T: It was Halloween. In China Dinosaur Park, there were a lot of activities on that day. People had a good time there. ( Watch the video)
Step2 Presentation
 一.Learn some western festivals
    1. Halloween   on October31
    How do people celebrate Halloween?
    make pumpkin lanterns, wear masks, dress up as ---
2. Thanksgiving Day  
on the fourth Thursday of November
     have a big dinner     eat turkey
Read an article about Thanksgiving Day, fill in the blanks.
3. Christmas    on December 25
     Listen to the tape and fill in the blanks.
    二. Learn some Chinese festivals:
     1. Chinese New Year= Spring Festival 
in January or February
      eat dumplings ,  get red packets , visit relatives and friends, watch fireworks
     2. Dragon Boat festival
      in May or June
      eat rice dumplings , have dragon boat races,
remember Qu Yuan
     3. Mid – Autumn Festival
     in September or October
     eat mooncakes, get together, tell the story of Chang’e
